The number of Covid-related deaths is very few
There are about 30,000 deaths annually in Ireland (2,500 monthly) of which 30.7% are caused by cancer (roughly 770 monthly) and 30.1% are related to heart disease (about 750 per month).
In the last month for which data is available, there were just 25 Covid-related deaths.

- 1,777 deaths as of 26.08.20 https://www.gov.ie/en/press-release/9f3eb-statement-from-the-national-public-health-emergency-team-wednesday-26-august/
Even if Covid-related deaths were to multiply 10-fold, they would still not exceed one third the monthly death total from cancer OR that of heart disease.
